Exploring feminine identity through inherited and observed gestures within the context of cooking. While gestures broadly embody identity, I’m particularly interested in how cooking activates them as conversation. Cooking and sharing food can transmit identity, and serve as non-verbal communication with others.

By engaging with it actively, I hope to examine how we relate to identity in the absence of straightforward roots in geography, heritage and language.
