Workshop/ Introduction to Voguing.

Voguing comes from the NYC ballroom scene. It is characterized by sharp lines, shapes and angles as well as an expressive body language. In this workshop you will learn the basics of this dance style and get to know about its five elements: Posing, Catwalk, Duckwalk, Spins & Dips and Floor Performance. Also you will get an introduction into it`s different styles: Oldway, New Way and Vogue Femme.

After the workshop we will present the movie 'paris is burning'.

A chronicle of New York's drag scene in the 1980s, focusing on balls, voguing and the ambitions and dreams of those who gave the era its warmth and vitality.


MOA aka Awâtef 'Haoui' Porro studied Contemporary Dance and Dance Theatre in Luxembourg, Braunschweig and Berlin and Voguing in NYC with legendary ballroom icons such as Archie Burnett, Leiomy Maldonado, Javier and Benny Ninja, Cassandra Ebony, Danielle Polanco and many more. She is the founder of the urban dance company "The MonGoteque Allstars" with which she develops many different productions. Her artworks are carrying glamour, elegance and the fascinating fierceness of voguing into the spotlight.
